Dermot Seymour RUA
Dermot Seymour b. Belfast 1956. Lives and works in Mayo. Seymour received his B.A. hons in Art & Design from the University of Ulster in 1978 and an Advanced Diploma in 1981. He has had solo exhibitions in Fenderesky Gallery Belfast, Project Arts Centre Dublin, Kevin Kavanagh Gallery Dublin, Millennium Court Arts Centre Portadown, Orchard Gallery Derry, Model & Niland Gallery Sligo, and Paula Allen Gallery New York. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions including ‘Divisions, Crossroads, Turns of Mind’ touring the U.S. and Canada, ‘On the Balcony of the Nation’, ‘When Time began to Rant and Rage’ in the U.S.A, ‘The Fifth Province’ in Canada, Lewis Glucksman Gallery Cork, Golden Thread Gallery Belfast, RUA Belfast, RHA Dublin and the Irish Museum of Modern Art Dublin. His work is included in the collections of the Ulster Museum, The European Central Bank, O.P.W Dublin, N.U.I Galway, University of Ulster, Cork City Council, and Mayo County Council.
